What performance can I expect from the battery of a refurbished device?Updated a month ago
Here are two key indicators for evaluating battery performance:
- SoH (State of Health): Reflects the ratio between the battery's current maximum capacity and its original maximum capacity.
- Number of charge cycles: Indicates the number of complete charge/discharge cycles performed by the battery.
At Back Market Pro, we require all batteries to have a SoH greater than 85% and to have undergone fewer than 500 charge cycles to ensure optimal performance.
How can you check your smartphone’s battery capacity?
- For an iPhone:
- Go to Settings.
- Select General.
- Click on Information.
- Choose Battery → Battery Health and Charging.
You will see the percentage of your battery’s maximum capacity.
- For an Android smartphone (Samsung, Google, etc.):
- Go to Settings.
- Select Device Maintenance or Battery and Performance (depending on the model).
- Click on Battery to see information about the battery’s condition, including its capacity percentage.
- Some brands, like Samsung, offer an option in the Device Care settings to check the battery health directly.
If you have specific questions about your battery’s health or need help checking this information, please refer to your manufacturer's official documentation.
