What is the legal guarantee of conformity?Updated a month ago

The legal guarantee of conformity is your right as a buyer to receive a product that matches what you ordered. If your product has a defect, an imperfection, or was poorly assembled, you are covered under certain conditions!

Here is what you need to know:

  • Guarantee duration: You have six years (in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland) or five years (in Scotland) to make a claim on products purchased from us. This period starts from the day you receive the product.
  • Your options: If your product has a problem, you can choose between having it repaired or replaced. If one of these options is disproportionately costly for us, we may suggest the other option first, but we will always work with you to find the best solution. If repair or replacement both fail, you are entitled to a full or partial refund.
  • 30-day right to reject: Within the first 30 days of receiving your product, you have the right to a full refund if it is faulty, without needing to request a repair or replacement first.
  • Resolution timeframe: Once you have reported the issue, our sellers must repair or replace your product within 1 to 2 business days and without causing you significant inconvenience.
  • Presumption of fault: For the first six months after purchase, any fault is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery. You do not need to prove it. After this period (between 6 months and 6 years), you may be asked to demonstrate that the defect was present when you received the product.
  • Seller contestation: If the seller believes the defect is due to misuse on your part, it is their responsibility to prove this, with supporting evidence such as photos or technical reports.
